I can't wait to see this project on the road, Keep up the good work!

ricola June 24th 2006 05:29

Looking good! :D

One question though, why did you use a single upright section at the very front? It would be a LOT stronger if you used a vertical tube at each front corner, the front suspension would be working from a more rigid frame...

Since this engine is not aircooled where did you put the radiator, can't seem to make out where that would fit.

beautiful chassis

I love what you have done with your chassis. Can you get back to me with some info on your modifications? Would you actually consider building another and selling it?

Good day Hugo,

I have asked this question before and i was always shown chassis like this. But i will post that question again. Can a tubular chassis be made so as to fit a vw beetle body over it retaining the original position of the engine. The upper sections of your chassis wouldn't be in the design this chassis would resemble the original chassis but only be tubular.

I think it's possible.

I was looking at a 911 targa here in jamaica and i noticed that it didn't have any frame horns like the beetle. The engine and gearbox matting arrangement was similar to the type3. If a rear cage could be built along with the idea i gave you hugo and still allow the beetle body to mate to this new chassis that would be wonderful. The car would have a further weight reduction.
