More 915 trans questions
 

Hi, I'm new to this forum (and anyone forum for that matter) and am just beginning a project, a 1302 with a subaru Sti engine for a daily driver (meaning it will see the track a couple times but mostly just 'fun' driving). I've got all the engine stuff figured out (I have a 2.2L subaru in my 1969 Van) but I'm in transmission research mode. I'm thinking I'll go with the 915 but first I would like to find out if a stock unit will be able to handle 200-240 hp and what it's like to drive with one. Would anyone care to share a little about their overall 915 experience? For you subie drivers out there, is it definately worth having the 5 speed over a built vw 4 speed? Any opinions welcome! I'll be running a 915 with a EJ25 Subie and have heard nothing but good things about the combo. I get my tranny tonight and am looking forward to the chaos that will ensue this summer!!!!
