Tore down the engine today......
Hi guys,
Updated from: http://www.germanlook.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=8173 Not working today, so i tore down the 2332, that was pulled a couple weeks back, which blew in Dec. Here's what i found, The exhaust valve had no face, and the tip was ripped off at the keeper: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/...s/Blown002.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/...s/Blown034.jpg |
Head split in 2. Thinking the barrel split, and the piston went sideways smashing into it:

Wiseco piston/pin rods stayed in one piece: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/...s/Blown014.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/...s/Blown037.jpg 86C broke in 3: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y8/...s/Blown071.jpg |
The other side (1&2) looked good:

Need to finish the other 2332 that is sitting on the stand. ;D I'll get the rods/crank looked at and serviced next week. Part it all out. Hopefully i can get some cash at the local swap meet next weekend (John's Bug Shop). Anyone need some spares? |
Dear god! I feel sick to my stomach!! Sorry to (hear of) see your loss! Best of luck with the other motor and recouping some cash with the other parts!

Wow that's one huge lost, is the crank still good. Those inlet valves aren't unshrouded at all.
