Winterizing the aircooled?

Since the snow is about to fall, it's time for the bug to hibernate for the winter. What do you guys do to ensure everything is good to go in the spring? I don't want to pull off the carbs in April for a rebuild.

Thinking: Fill the gas tank, and toss in a bottle of gas stabilizer?

In the past with the EFI, I just filled with 94 and siphoned it out in the spring to use in the lawnmower for the summer.:lmao:

Be sure there's plenty of glycol in the radiator. :lmao:

Bleed the brakes once before storage, add some fuel stabilizer to a full tank of gas, and add an extra 10 psi to the tires. Put the car on jackstands to keep the tires from getting flat spots.

Well today we got dumped on with snow. Fired it up, ran the stabalizer through it, and covered her up till spring.

It's now officially time to work on the winter projects!
