Anybody into models ? Err, car models that is. Ran into one of these at the local Zellers (got the 1:64 '59 KG Coupe): http://www.jadatoys.com/image_gen/12..._59_VW_Kar.jpg I checked their website and they have quite the collection: http://www.jadatoys.com/products.php...&category=VDub Rob. |

I've got several of the die casts in alot of scales, but there's nothing like actually building 'em. I've been building models for about 13 years now, and usually take them a bit over board. One of my latest projects: '66 Drag conversion, slow and steady (more pics here) http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...8.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...0.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...0.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...1.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...5.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...1.jpg~original My future projects: http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...4.jpg~original Sometimes these go quick, sometimes it takes months to find parts from other kits to make resin copies of. Like now, i'm waiting on a few different 911 models to show up so I can copy the fan shrouds for the GLs. Kenney |

Kenney, trully nice work...scale requires even more delicacy and skill. what make is the 1303 model?? Cheers Chris |

It's an Aoshima kit. P/N 035399 I've got 4 of them now, and another 6 on the way from here. I plan on a rally car with 2 of them already. They're cheap enough, and it shows. They're currently the only 1303 models available, though. My conclusions after looking through the kit leave quite a bit to be desired, and are not totally accurate. Nothing some putty, sculpting, and resin parts won't fix. Here's a couple pics. The front end is gonna require a bit of work, and the pan, ughh, i'll just make one out of styrene and make some molds of it. Engine will be a resin copy from the tamiya '66 beetle like above, with webers, porsche fan, etc. http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...4.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...8.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...9.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...0.jpg~original http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...1.jpg~original I'll post some pics of a finished one in a couple of weeks. I'm gonna get started on one this weekend. Kenney |

Latest Shipment So here's what I've just received. Might combine a super and a '67 to make a model of my car, a '73 standard http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...9.jpg~original Plenty more of these guys for some experimentation http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...0.jpg~original Might build this one stock (highly detailed and not cheap) http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...2.jpg~original And some of these for a diorama i'm building http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n...1.jpg~original Speaking of dioramas, have a look at THESE.
