Type IV conversion to upright
 

I may have asked this before... but: I have a 1.8 longblock in my garage. I may try to convert to upright. I've read Joe Cali's book, but I wonder - does anyone on this list have experience doing the conversion. Are there other suppliers? Any other ways of gettin' it done?

I've done it. It's a real "measure twice and cut once type of deal. Not too difficult though. You can get the special alt stand and pulley from Mike Sharp and possibly from others. Go for it!!
