Drag Night in South Carolina July 11
 

Hi guys:
Thought I would post this here. I am planning on heading down to SC for this event http://www.vwdragnight.com/
I am a sponsor, and have talked to Scott about it. Every day it seems, it gets bigger and better. Now he has Pro Mods and Pro Stocks running. Eric Madson will be there with his turbo Ghia from Colorado. VW Paradise may come. KCW crew will be there. East Coast Street cars, Unlimited Street Cars, Howard Creps with his new turbo split. It's going to be huge.
I am hoping to actually drive my '59 vert down. PeteVW is coming in his TDI Golf. Gone Buggy is coming in his bug if I drive my bug. Chug A Bug is hitching a ride with someone. Who else is in?? I plan to take Thursday and Friday off work. Drive down all day Thursday, maybe stop early that night and finish the trip Friday. Back home Sunday, maybe into Monday, don't know.

I want to take my car, but will See how it's running and if I have Blowen it up by then lol...

If we can get a good aircooled turnout, i'll take a weekend to swap my close ratio trans out(long overdue). This will allow me to cruise down in the super.

16hr drive -> might be a good idea to pull the solid mounts too. :lmao:

My stocker is in for now, and she's runnin' a treat! Should be a good road trip.

I just reserved 2 rooms with 2 double beds each at 2 different hotels. The first one is near Friday's event and is the hotel Madson and the KCW crew will be at. Sounds like a ritzy place. On Saturday night we will stay near the track at the Econolodge. Come home Sunday.
I'm going to the event no matter if the '59 is taking me or not. I have a TDI now as well and will resort to driving it if need be.
