just a freindly tip - when measuring spring rates, a 100lb spring
compresses 1 inch per 100 lbs. 2 inches at 200 lbs and so on.
these are linear rate springs.

Bendix pads are crap. Low quality, wear out too fast. Try raybestos ceramic. good grip cold no fade hot. Try lightening the rear half of your car too.

944 bolt spacing

I found a 944 with the rear bearing covers still there, and I need to know what the center to center caliper bolt dimension is. 4cm?

Help on 914 rear caliper conversion

If you have any schematics of the rear adapter plate to use 914 calipers, any help or links or pics would be greatly appreciated.
I will get the steel and weld as neccesary, but I need guidelines,...

apparently these calipers are the same as Europe's talbot horizon
calipers. Mine cost $100 with pads and hardware.

Ok here's the low down on the beam. Dropped spindles weigh
20 lbs. each, and push your tire out 3/4" twards the fender.
They suck. Beam adjusters don't necissarily create a harsh ride
