Folts and Shue (sp?) had to use a custom made t4 bronze split thrust bearing in their old flanged cranked, Autocraft engined rail 20 yrs ago, std units wouldn't hold up. worked for their program.

according to him with current gearing the car runs 70-80mph @ 2400-2800 rpm, right in the cars' sweet spot and will run there all day, up hill, down hill doesn't matter. 3000 nets 85mph and still no...
