i tried to do the same thing, but it didn't leave me with enough material. (comfortably anyway.) seems like it wouldn't last that long.

Yes that is the point. I got my calipers,hups, backing plates, e-brake parts, everything but rotors (because i wanted new) for $700.

Thanks for the compliments. My 15" phonedials didn't fit so i'm going to 17" twists. I yes they are cb drop spindles, You can get away with with "certin" 15"s with a combo of spacers and "machining;)...

Big reds are even more. I bought used calipers and painted them up see here. http://www.germanlook.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=7571 with new rotors. Nothing wrong with good used parts.
