I would guess that the 30mm vents are whats choking it off. If the idle screws are adjusted for the best idle mixture quality I would not screw them out more to cover the problem. You might try...

Welcome to the GL. Lots of the same people here as on the STF but it is definately more relaxed and open minded.
What vents and jets are you running? I have seen the choke mechanism blocked off...
