Can you have them x-rayed for cracks?

A little wear on them should not necessitate trashing them.

WTB: rear 944 924 steel backing plates

Needed for swingaxle conversion.

Rear 944 or 924 steel backing plates for the emergency brake stuff.

I can trade AL units if needed to drop some pounds.

Thanks!

I like the BBS wheels. No need to change a thing!

The Pannasports are a very light wheel though and you could probably sell them pretty easily to a 914 racer dude.

You can do it!

It sounds like the float or float bowl metering valve is to blame. The valve is included in a rebuild kit.

Once you break open the carb you will see it is a piece of cake. Soak...

Hazen, the rear brake choice is of course early 944. Good price with a little elbow grease and better than any dinky stockish VW that I have seen.

As for the spacers / adaptors I agree with what...

Super VW, what torsion bars are you running in the rear?

I used to run a '69 Beetle with GR-2 front and Gas-A-Just rear. The rear was hard on minor bumps but would squat on hard turns. IMO...
