I'm now looking into these for my girl's 1303...

I'm now looking into these for my girl's 1303 that has stock fenders all the way around - anyone try 17x8 (ET40) with 215/40's on back? Lowered one inner spline.

For stock fenders you're going to have the best luck with 7's all around given your choices...the steering box stops will probably need to be adjusted a bit, so that you don't rub.

I only gave the link a glance...but just to make things clear about wheel width most steel wheels are ~1" wider overall than the measurement between the beads, while most alloys are only ~5/8" wider.

No, they won't fit...With an IRS car it takes a bit of clearacing to fit a 7" wheel...8" might be possible with the right offset, but things would be very close in the end if possible to begin with....
