Trunk paint dilemma

I used spray undercoating on my '72 Super Beetle's trunk to prevent rust, and as undercoating usually is, it smears easily. I have now changed my mind, and decided to use splatter paint in the trunk....

Cleaning Engine

What's the best way to clean my 72 Super's engine of all it's dirt? Is it safe to to use engine cleaner and water? I don't see any holes for water to escape the engine compartment.

Tail Lights

I own a 72 Super, and I like the 73-up tail lights (similar to the smoked ones, but only clear, available a cip.com). Do they make these for this year, or can I make the 73 fit or do I have to give up
