Im a little bumed that they dont apear to be aluminum. But hey they work.
What year model are the off of. I have the hanes manuel and I didnt see this set up. Im off to the boneyard to see...

Type 1 SWING vs. IRS? output dif flange interchangable?

Problem: car is 1957 type1, Bad Swing axle (grinds gears etc.). Have a healthy Rebuilt IRS (welded 3 & 4th etc.) No budget.
Question: can I change the dif frome Swing axle remove the dif from IRS...

Thanks for info on bushings. Now for my brembo calipers to fit I guess Ill need a minimum of 16" fuchs and Ill rule out the 15 cookie cutters?

What type of bushings did you use on the trailing arms (urethane, oem, vw or porshce?) I have the same set up Im switching my pan to a 69+.
Rim clearance I know your rims will clear but...

GL ers,
Very simply put a performance. One thing that places GLrs apart is the ability to accelarate decelarate and handle at a higher performanc envelope.
Light weight rims and performance tires....

914 motor is very desirable if it is 2.0 liter.
Heads its in the heads only the 912 porsche and 914 shared these heads.

914 2.0,1.8,1.7 Con Rod compatability?

I just picke up a 2.0 case at the boneyard without heads and pistons and connecting rods. Can I replace the rods from a 1.8 or 1.7 motor Are all models the same in this respect.

I did it my way

Thats my set up man. When I get to it, Porsche 944 sway bar (have to weld) and I also have aluminium trailers. 91 Carrera C2 brakes too all will go on to a 71 pan with my 63 rag body.

Porsche steering wheels.

I was surprised when a 1984 porsche steering wheel fit onto the splines of my 1963 beetle. But from what I have seen you should be able to put it right on.
