Distorted signal with have clipping, much like a square wave where the very tops and bottoms get chopped off... Causes lots of damage very quickly.

They are just screwed to the body :) With 'zebra' filler/blue on the joining surfaces... Cant be removed once stuck with 'zebra'!

It wouldnt be a big deal to cut the holes for handles etc yourself as carbon fibre is very easy to work using a dremmel or some other brand of high speed rotary...

Be warned though... There are (at least) 2 types of kamei airdam... one for superbeetles and one for regular bugs... the ones for regular bugs dont fit easily.
