Good choice! I really like Subaru's. Recently I heard one with a turbo or a cat-back (dont know which) and it sounded super-mean! Kinda like a refined version of how an ACVW sounds, which is logical, being boxer engines. Personally, I am debating a GTI VR6 or a Mini Cooper S as my future daily driver, but that's neither here nor there...
But remember one thing about a mildly-modded WRX... Eric Roberts and his Plumbug beat one in the G-force challenge
