I'm going with dropped spindles this winter. I have an adjustable beam dropped as low as it will go (3") and it rides like a brick wagon ... no suspension travel on the front at all, harsh as well.
With the dropped spindles, adjustable beam combo, I'll have the luxury of suspension travel and being able to choose my ride height.
