Since the rim is wider it is closer to your suspension. When you turn your wheels they will touch your shock tower or your tie rod. To narrow the beam you remove 2" or 3" from the center then reweld the front suspension beam back together. You have to get special shortened torsion springs. You then use wheel spacers to bring the wheels back out to where they are supposed to be and then you will have clearance between the rim and the suspension.
