looks better now. just behind it you can see i took the back seat backer and just threw it in there. there is a slight gap between the back of the new piece (where the middle seat belt mounts are...and yes, those are for my shoulder harnesses) and the point where the package tray piece goes under the lip. i took that backseat backer turned it around, tucked it in that lip also, folded it towards the front of the car and tucked it underneath the new backseat board. the angles on the backseat backer happen to match the wheel hump curve perfect. i will take some pics of the finished product.
the eventual goal was to put a 944 backseat rest in there so i could put my kids in if really needed. then it dawned on me that they can not fit between the buckets and mine don't recline. oh well, guess they don't get to ride.
