I bought a tach for my car and it was steering colum mounted. It wouldn't fit on my short steering colum so I mounted it in the dash. If its a 5" tach you could move it to the center of your dash and relocate your speedometer to the left dash panel. Or you could make a custom mount to mount it to your dash. Just a few thoughts.....
