The other problem is Chris was trying the duty free route of military shipping through his work on Blackhawk helo's, so the parts went from MBT in Germany to Chris in Kosovo to his dad's house in California and finally to the customer. What ever happened with his arrangement, it did not work for me.
I just ordered a rear uniball 935 rear conversion and it took about 10 days to ship from the first email discussion, the order, and the wiring of funds. I would think if the parts are available here there should be some interest. I have also talked to Uwe about doing all machine work here, and using his mounts.
Personally I find important the fact that the MBT parts are TUV approved and manufactured to those stringent specifications. Some people would like to build their own and others will want to have MBT quality parts on the brakes they are about to rely upon when flying down the freeway. Why buy big Brembos and scrimp on the mounts?
But James, thank you for answering. If you are coming up the Austin way, give me a call and let me show you the projects.
Thanks,
Randy
