I'd definitely grab the two trannies, leave the axles, grab the rear 944 suspension, and if the guy is parting out the 911's depending on year and model they use the same rotors/ calipers as 944's so that might solve your problems with the brakes. Some guys like to run the 911/912/944 seats, some guys like to run the 914 seats. The mid 80's steering wheels are very nice, maybe a early 911 shifter and linkage. If one of the 914's has a 2L grab that. You'll want to find 944 axles(half shafts) that match the 944 rear suspension. Where I live 944's are a dime a dozen, their popping up in pick and pull now.
