Officially un-employed (for the next 3 days)
Well, today was my last day with Hamilton Beach. I don't start my new job until Friday, so I get the next 3 days off, woo hoo. If I wasn't under Dr's orders to not pick anything up, I'd get more walls up on the shop, but I can't. Got some honey do's on the list, and will play with my cars a bit, work on the 72 911's paint prep some.
In celebration of my new freedom today, I took the 912-6 on its maiden voyage to work. Got plenty of stares in the parking lot this morning, felt good. Engine still needs a little tuning, the vac canistor on the dizzy is bad, and it still dripps a little oil from the flywheel seal, but overall it was a good drive. Hit 65mph on the highway on the way and stuck it there, glad I did as Mr. Trooper was in his usuall hiding spot this morning. One word to describe the ride, "stiff". Felt every bump and leaf on the road. Was great. Breathe on the steering wheel and its in another lane. Now to just get the feel of the car by October.
