You guys were sooo great, really, really made Pam and I feel welcome. It was well worth the long haul just to meet everyone and be a part of such a friendly bunch. Everyone just stepped right up and made us feel like old friends. The VKG is a first class group of people. I am proud you would have me as a member!
The show and winning trophies...
Everytime somebody walked past the back of my bus and said "holy..., what the...,did you see...", I won. Everytime somebody wanted to know more about it, I won. Even when the few purists walked by and either mumbled or didn't say anthing, I really won
. The fact that several folks took club cards off my windows and put them in thier pockets, we all won.
Thank you for the compliments about my bus. I think I wowed everybody just on the freakshow nature of the conversion alone... I really aspire to be able to have something that shows the attention to detail that I saw in the other members' cars, you guys are truely masters of the fine details.
The highlight for me would have to be that some of you were able to shame Jake and Brent into coming over and giving my bus the once over, especially after the stupid Jetta wouldn't die a firey death. I was suddenly
very aware of having the only other radiator in the camp...
