The Type I DTM is finally all tested up and will go on sale on October 15th. The Type I DTM is 1/2 the price of the cheapest 911 system for the Type I engine and controls cylinder head temperatures about 65% better than the best 911 system we tested.
Even stock beat the best 911 system on a Type I engine in my testing on two different engines! This was both in the car and on the dyno.

The DTM is not a new system. The original designer of the DTM, Joe Locicero started working on it in the mid 80s. The Type IV shroud was released in 1988 and was covered in the September and October Hot VWs in 1995.
Joe perfected the Type IV before he passed away in July 2002. The Type I shroud was never fully perfected because the Type I shroud was harder for him to make and he stayed plenty busy just making the Type IV shrouds. I picked up where Joe left off with the Type I and made it much easier to build. We then had to test it out and make it work- that took me 7 solid months!
We have started an email discussion list just for the shroud. Here people can share DTM experiences, ask questions and get plenty of information to see if a Type I DTM is right for them. You can sign up for the list by following the link I posted above.
