The 1st gear in the 901 is in the nose cone so it is only realy supported one one end. 2nd - 5th is as strong as the 915. As long as you don't do drag launches a 901 is good to 200 hp in stock form and 300+ hp in a performance built form. You get to the point in a performance build when the case is the limiting factor. The early all aluminum cases/intermediate plate are said to be stronger.
