Thanks for the replies. I thought it would be worth it also. I was thinking of it as the internals and the block are junk. This may not be true but since I can't inspect them it is possible. But, I did think that the carbs and heads would be worth it.

The thing about the water is, I was told something such as an aluminum transmission would sweat, condense, draw in moisture, whatever through itself and could corrode what is on the inside. Just curious...

How do I ID the carbs?????? Numbers, shape, what???? Thanks Guys. How much is an average on manifolds and a good linkage?
