After talking to a Mercedes technician that lives in my street these 8 pod calipers seem overkill. A very wide and soft tire would be necessary for grip (track slicks) and indeed on a rainy day wheels will lock up (I alreay have that problem with my 6 pod Tarox calipers).
Think I'l try to put the 944T discs on the tarox pods up front and 944T discs+calipers in the back with maybe a brake servo (or how is it called in English) and see how that works.
Wheel size wouldn't be a problem as I'll be going for at least 17", propably 18" wheels under widened fenders.
