The 228mm flywheel will fit without any work at all, but it was the 228mm clutch which then required lots of grinding to the gearbox. I tried a Rhino case on the bench and this needed lots of work as well.

I believe Danborn used a 228 and says that the gearbox is paper thin in places. SteveC used a 228 originally and said it needs lots of grinding. He eventually settled on a 215.

The 215mm flywheel & clutch fits with no work at all, so this was the most sensible route to me rather than spend time weakening the gearbox. The clutch is strong enough for the power put through it.
