mulk, at the very least you'll have to flip the diff and get a different nose cone (901,915?) 914's are mid-engine cars, buses are rear engine

. There's a lot of info on here about tranny swaps (search). I'm starting a swap in my bug (915), but from what i've read on here about 914 trannys you have to at least flip the diff so your ring gear gives you 5 forward and 1 reverse.
