Well, some folks back home in good ol' S.Africa had enough of having their cars jacked. So two different guys(dont know each other) came up with two 'systems', and this is proven not to be a myth:
#1:
Got fed-up with the car high-jacking that went/is going on, in S.A., and the other dangers that go with it(like being shot on the spot or even in your car...anyway). This guy(and may I say that he is an ex-cop!!!), "invented" a flame thrower under his car on the driver's side. When someone approaches to jack the car, he somehow activates the flame thrower and burn the attacker to a crisp. Obviously this is not legal, but hey, it saved his life!
Anyway.......
#2:
"Invented" a spring-plate activated system with 6" nails under the seat. if the anti-highjack system is not de-activated before the car starts...... Well, you get the idea. And like I said, this is not a myth either. someone actually tried jacking his car, and the morning when he came out to go to work, found someone bled to death next to his car.....
Anyway.....
Sorry to hear about your bad luck! Silver lining? Your family's health? (just trying to help)
