Hey Rob,

On my JDM 2.0 turbo engine the crossover manifold had 2 temp. sensors installed - I believe one was for the computer and one for the gauge? These both use a metric parallel thread - not directly fittable to most aftermarket temperature senders. I'm keeping one of the senders to use with my Megasquirt, but the other hole I re-tapped with 1/8 NPT. I did this a while back and it was really easy - IIRC is was a simple matter of just carefully feeding the tap into the esxisting threads and tapping away. Enough meat there to totally re-thread the hole (I "might" have had to drill the existing hole out for the tap? but I don't think so). Did this with the manifold removed for easy clean-out BTW. I did the same with the oil pressure sender plug in the front of the motor to fit standard Autometer senders.
