Sounds like a clutch cable or the hook broke off your clutch pedal arm.

Pull the pedal assembly and take a gander. Clutch cables are easy to replace.

If it is in fact the hook, let us know. There are a few preliminary steps to prevent that happening again. The new hooks are very prone to wear/breakage.
