The hooks are readily available. But as with most stuff, quality is marginal. The main issues is both the cable eye, and the hook need to be de-burred extensively. Out of the package they are littered with sharp corners. Lightly radius all sharp edges or they will eat through each other in no time. Lots of grease doesn't hurt either. Grease the heck out of the cable before install, a few dabs on the hook and eye and it will be like butter!.
