In answer to your question and FYI, the '75 super doesn't have a steering damper. I fitted one anyway, its a specially designed (retrofit) steering damper for the '75 and later super/convertibles. It works perfectly and even solves some vibration issues in some situations. The gas filled damper is from bilstein in my case and was sold by Gerd Weiser in Dusselforf, Germany. I thought the rack and pinion cars didn't need dampers? What can the damper do?

Anyway, I'm thinking of retrofitting a rack and pinion to my '73 '03. I've got '74 and later arms on him so it should be quite straight forward? Has anyone done this before?
