Figure I should post a short update on my car. I now have over 5000 miles on the car and enjoyed every one of them. Its been very good to me so far. Recently the car was featured in VWtrends magazine. Pretty cool to see the car in print and I can check that off the bucket list.
Currently I am contemplating a transaxle build. I bought an IRS rebuild manual and have been pouring over the weddle catalog. I would like to do a 3.44 ring and pinion because I run a smaller tire diameter and cruising at 70 with the 4.12 in the car currently is about 3700 rpm's. A LSD of some kind would also be nice. The subaru can take the abuse but its not very enjoyable. I do have a subaru transaxle as well but for the amount of money/modification required to my current setup I don't know if its worth it to change.
