Walter,

I was gonna do something similar. A boxster front rotor with a 944T rear caliper. I was going to use a drum spindles, so that gives me some room to fabricate a caliper bracket (aswell as provide mounting holes for the bracket).

Can you get a drum spindle for a type 3?

What about chopping off the existing ears on the disk spindle and upping the backing plate holes (from M6 to M10) and using those as a pick-up for a fabricated caliper bracket?
