What is the mysteries behind the CSP master cylinder for disc brakes???

Hi, I can't answer this question, but i have been trying to research and find out what m/c it is that CSP use.

Mattkab on here thought it may be a golf 8v one but i'm not so sure....

been looking on the ATE website, they list all the vehicle braking components with exact pictures of each item.

I do believe now that the CSP m/c are purpose made, the pics i've seen of them do not resemble anything i've seen before. the RHD m/c actually has 6 outlet ports and is suppiled with blanking screws!

We do know it is 20.64mm, but i did try a 20.64 off an Audi 80 (ATE) but i had excessive travel on the pedal. I am thinking now that the CSP unit probably has springing and pressure valves (to retain pressure in the lines for the calipers?) to suit.

this would probably justtify their asking price.

I know their stuff is of top quality, but i would like to know what is so 'special' about their m/c !

Angelo
