Out West most of the property was surveyed before anything was built hence alot of straight lines as the roads were usually built before the houses. In the East it was just the opposite. Towns were built along rivers and connected by roads later. The roads were generally built to avoid already built up areas and they also followed the terain due to lack of powered machinery. In other words more curves in the east. A cal look car will work well out west as they generally go best in a straight line. In the north, northwest, northeast, and south where there are curves and alot of rain or show they would be skating around like an elephant on rollerskates.
Six years ago when I started this journey there were only rumors that this or that had been done. As time progressed people tried out ideas and posted the results on the internet. The internet is one of the greatest information sharing ideas of all time if the government doesn't mess it up. Last year I only counted about 6 people on this forum in the US actually in the process of making a car. The rest were formalizing their ideas and starting to collect parts. Now there is a great number more starting their cars. The right parts are hard to find and expensive. While the information is becoming more available there is still more yet to go. Sorry just rambling.
