German by nature..

Ok, so its not a true German looker, but it gets its inspiration from its German cousins..

The spec is:

1974 1303 Karmann beetle - imported from Italy in the 80's and converted to rhd.
1915cc engine - 110 cam & 1:25 rockers, 40 x 35.5 mild port heads, AJ Sims kadrons, jetted appropriately, CSP Super Street Exhaust, Truehaft 010 distributor. electric fuel pump, blah blah blah. A solid 100 bhp on the rolling road.
1303s gear box.
Standard discs (porsche pattern) up front fitted to adjustable slimline struts. Redrilled drums at the rear.
Porsche 16 x6 fuchs fitted with 195x55's at the front and 205/55's at the rear.

We've had the car for a few years now. Its had a standard retrimmed interior fitted, along with a period style wood rim wheel. This was due to the fact that it used to be more period styled. Theres still a few bits of that left around - the interior, the gravel guards and the trim. To be honest, I don't think it will get the full black trim treatment as we like a little bit of bling..

Hope you like it.

The interior looks white in the picture, but its actually cream.

As you know, these things are never finished.. On my hit list are:
Lower the back by an inch
Fit a CSP shifter
Get the 944 seats I purchased recently retrimmed and sorted!
Sort out the little "issues" that annoy me - like the wonky front / rear bumper!!
