Mark Higgins' Scooby run took 10 years to plan as there was always problems in finding a car, getting sponsors and track time during TT week. Mark's time was almost pathetic against the bikes over the circuit and he had a big moment at Bray that he says was the biggest one of his 20 year career.

The on bike cameras put the speed of these machines in perspective with 200mph being recorded by the top riders. Sitting in an armchair watching the progress down a tree lined road at over 170mph was unbelieveable, my eyes and brain just couldn't keep up

this event used to be on the World Championship for Bikes calender until the teams and the governing body withdrew. I doubt whether the likes of Rossi or Haden or Pedrosa or the other MotoGP riders would have the balls to ride this event competitively, it takes a special fool/hero to achieve what riders like McGuiness do year after year.
