I think I understand, a friend of mine has a '59 Ghia on a similar mount to what you're saying with two engine stands. Works great.

There's one engine stand at each end of the body and he made special mounts so it would mount to the bumper brackets. I really doubt you'd be able to do that with the chassis still attached. That would be way too heavy to pick up and put into the engine stand. These things are more than possible. but 1 thing you run into is having enough room from the top of the car to the ceiling (sp?) and trying to turn it over 180* you'd run into the problem of the top of the body hitting the ground. Know what I mean?
