I used the beetle rod and coupling. With both the box and the rod is situe, and the coupling on the gearbox, you can figure out how much you need to shorten it by. I also shortened the rod out of the gearbox and redrilled the dimple. After I did this I decided the porsche coupling was better as it has adjustment so I spliced the beetle rod with the porsche one!
