Hi all, been a long time reader of this forum but never posted, but thought i would share my project with all of you guys. I am building a 66 beetle which i am putting on 70 Semi auto pan converted to manual, brakes are 87 944 Turbo 4 pots all round using a golf M/C, fronts are on dropped spindles, i had this conversion done by Lanner, it was cheaper for me to send my parts to him in Canada than it was to get it done locally. I was met with quite a few balank stares when asking engineering shops if they could do this job. Wheels are 16 x 6, 16 x 7 boxster wheels, trans is a SSC type 3, with all the good stuff, 9 tooth mainshaft, Kombi 002 3rd and 4th coarse gears, 4 x 10/15 spider gears, 3.875 R&P and the engine will be a 2270 type 4 OF COURSE, with a Raby DTM, with 44 IDF's. This will be my daily driver so the missus can have my 04 Golf GTI, love that car but the aircooled beckons me every day.
