Slowly but surely...

I've completed a lot of work on my 73, but I still have a bit of work to go. Still left are the brakes, the engine and a couple of new seats (and a new stereo).

This car was a daily driver from 1996 until 2001 when I bought my pickup. It sat from 2001 until two months ago when I decided I was going to sell my truck and go back to my VW. I never lost my love of VWs during that time driving a large 4x4, but I was in school and then working as a skydiving instructor. So I had no money to rebuild the VW. The VW was dechromed and painted Emerald Green Metallic (a Chevy pickup truck color) back in 1997. Even now, 10 years later, the paint still looks great.

Needless to say I'm incredibly excited and I wanted to show off some pictures of the work I've done. Not seen in the pictures is a lot of "cleanup" work where I've sanded, grinded and painted various parts due to rust and wear.
