I think you are referring to the "Gauge Art" thread. If I totally redo my dash in the future, it will be in a somewhat similar direction.

Right now, I want the stock speedo to still look stockish -- except I want 120 or 140 MPH to be the maximum instead of the current 90. And, of course, I want it to be more accurate than the 5% off it is now. The stockish look goes with the VDO and Westach gauges.

I also want to keep the internal gas gauge, the various warning and indicator lights as well as the turn signal.

North Hollywood Speedometer is the place I believe that did the very fine work. Their site makes it seem they are geared towards Porsche 911 and 914 gauges, and wonderful custom work using them.

I suppose if there is no one-stop shop that can do what I want, I can fetch a stock speedo from one of the usual suspects, have some place make a custom face for the increased top speed, and fins another place to install and recalibrate it to make it accurate.

I was hoping to avoid all that. Perhaps my plan is more out of the ordinary than I thought.
