Just build a 78mm crank together wit 94mm Mahle B pistons(2165cc's), it's cheaper and as reliable as the 96mm, besides I think (and tested for years), that the 94mm through the offset wrist-pins will last longer! The HP rate will top your est.140HP and you will have a very reliable engine. Such a long block, with stainless steel 2-tip muffler and J-tubes, Porsche style fan system with Carrera fan and 41mm/34mm heads, Web Cam & lifters and a few other goodies will cost you the same, around 5.5k$, but you have more necessary parts! A gearbox is as good as it's builder, I would take a more original gearbox, build to tight factory specs and a bit longer, than needed, but that depends on the driver's opinion. Maybe you want more 1/4 miling, thaen there's another gearbox better. I don't think, that a simple gearbox, maybe with 4,12 and 0,89 4th will cost you more than 500$.
