It's our E39 M5, 40k miles/$25k was too good a ratio to pass up, it's like a new car still for less than a Honda Accord! We have an E36 M3 too that is road legal but mostly it's setup for our track car. 135s are wicked quick, but they are also a lot of money. If you are just looking for speed then a 335 is still a better option IMO, but for the $/fun ratio the E36 M3 is still king. If you talk to 10 BMW shops that have race connections, the E36 will still be the top choice even though the E46s are coming down in price. For even more fun you can swap the 333hp E46 engine into the E36 chassis and hang on!
