caliper upside down?

I am mounting 996 calipers on 944 arms. These calipers have different size pistons and I assume that the small piston is leading. Is this correct?

With the bleeder up, the larger piston is now leading. Is this a big deal, or can the bleeders and balance pipe be swapped?
